On the up side our game today was great in about 12 different ways which is not something you can say about the Mariners more than once every 2 or 3 years.
But the really big news is that Christian got us the All Clear for Shower Day. He has done all the paperwork and worked through the building manager to get board approval. I was copied on an email from the little dickhead (aka building manager) that we could not have it done on Monday because it was Labor Day - duh. So we should have the first day be Tuesday.
I saw one email from Christian who clearly spelled out that the whole project will take one day and that we will not know which day that is until the week of September 7. Dickhead has trouble reading.
But but but, the important thing is that we're cleared for bathtub out and walk in shower in. Woohoo! I did get a letter from bathfitters which basically said move all your shit out of the bathroom before we get there and on the day, don't bug the bathfitter. He'll be busy. hahahahah
The only outstanding issue is paying Christian for his design/project services. I've now asked him 3 times what/how he would prefer compensation for the work he is doing. I've offered a retainer, hourly payment, project payment, whatever. He ignores the question each time. I could have done it without him but it would have been stressful and I would not have felt good about making decisions on my own. Plus, I would have insulted the dickhead (again).
I have an idea of a fair compensation and if nothing else, when all is said and done, I'll write him a check for that amount. But, I sure wish he'd help me out a little.
It's heating up again so time to close the door (to the outside) and turn the A/C back on. I could stand it for a while more but if I turn it on now, it won't have to work so hard through the hours when the sun hits the living room (which is these days about 5-7).
