I had 10 un used, still wrapped N-95 masks. Left over from the fires of a few years ago. When the county called for donations, I filled in the form. I knew I didn't have enough to matter but felt better for offering anyway. They took me up on the offer. They were to come by today to pick them up. I said anytime between 7 am and 8 pm. They guy just came - in a Goodwill truck. I'm grateful but depressed to learn that a piddly 10 masks is worth that effort.

But in brighter news, now that he's been here, I have the entire day free. Ha! There will be walk. I finished knitting a sweater yesterday. I need to tie up the ends and do a little finish work and then I'll be well and truly done. And ready for the next knitting or crochet project. I have several in mind.

I'm in a constant debate about The Smalls. If we were not in quarantine, would I take him into the vet at this point? Maybe. Maybe not. Last night I composed an email to the vet asking for guidance. I didn't send it. I want to watch him today. So far, he's been his usual self. But at least I have it all laid out and ready to send, if things change. I suspect there's nothing that can be done kindly and do not want to stress out any of us - him, the vet or me with an unnecessary visit if that is the case. So I'll wait and watch for now. (Another factor is am I uber focused because there's nothing else to focus on? Clearly a possiblity.)

Yesterday's banana bread was not the best I've ever had but it is certainly the best to be made in my kitchen in maybe forever. It's too heavy and dense but, hey, smaller slices.

Biggie is currently roaming around looking for something to get him in trouble. I have every confidence he will find it. Oh cool, he just found a whiffle ball and has now taken down to the sewing room. Now he's back eating out of his tree. It's a joy to see him eating something safe. See what I mean about focus?

The high school class emails have now become annoying enough that I set up a rule to save them but not see them in my inbox. (One member of my small high school class created a list of the rest and started sending out broadcast emails to all about a week ago.) One of the women has taken to sending out silly mp4 files that then all the rest have to respond about how funny they think each file is. "Oh, that's so good. I already sent it to 12 of my girlfriends." Sorry, not my jam. I'll go in and read them every once in a while, but I do not have the patience for that kind of crap.

Time now to get that walk in and then figure out the rest of my day.

Biggie says hi. The Smalls is snuggled under the comforter on the bed.
