The woman whose cat I'm feeding this weekend baked me mint chocolate chip cookies as payment and paid in advance. I love home made chocolate chip cookies but these... taste and look very much like refrigerator chocolate chip cookies. Zero butter. Of course the nice woman who made them looks, herself, as if she's never heard of butter so maybe that's it. I appreciate the effort and the lesson. Not all home made chocolate chip cookies are delicious. That's sad.
I've had a busy morning. I got a bunch of Amazon deliveries. I ordered a cheap clip on light to put in the fireplace and illuminate the stained glass fire place screen. It turns out to be a really cool light. Nice and long with all kinds of ways to alter the light. I was not expecting something of this quality. It is now installed in the fireplace. The screen comes tomorrow.
I had to move the water fountain. The only place is carpeted so I got a scrap piece of wood that, miraculously I did not toss out or give to Goodwill and covered it with some denim to put the fountain on.
Amazon now has a nice range of colors in single sheets (as opposed to sheet sets). So I ordered a new fitted sheet for the bed. I'm not sold on it yet. I want to wash it and try it out first. So load 1 of laundry is in the washer now.
Also delivered was half of next months' cat food. And I don't really have a place to put it. hmmmm
The cats are hyper today. I'm not sure what the deal is. Happily it is warm enough to open the door so they are currently playing outside.
I need to get out of this house. On foot. I don't really want to but I kind of think that if I don't, I'll forget how. I'm currently thinking about walking over to the teriyaki place and getting a chicken bowl for lunch. It's way too early for lunch now - I'm hoping I can hold on to my resolve for at least an hour.
That hour will be spent picking up stuff that the cats have knocked around, finding some place for that stupid cat food, doing a second load of laundry. Among other retired old lady things. The Seahawks are gearing up for their big night on TV. Things should start getting crazed after lunch.
There is a very strong breeze going on. I wish the leaves on The Tree That I Hate were a little more dead and ready to fall off. They are getting there. But not yet. I miss seeing my neighbors like crazy!
Proving that there is nothing that is not a cat toy. Yep. That's a Sharpie.
