When I woke up, I did not feel like I had a cold. My nose is stopped but, I usually wake up with my nose stopped up. Swimming clears that right up. I debated - swim? no swim? I decided on swimming. I was already dressed with my suit under my clothes when I remembered my ears. I seriously do not want to aggravate my ears. I pushed around the edges with my fingers and, yep, tender.
Off with the suit. Instead, I decided to walk up to Java Diner. I haven't been there in ages. I don't love it but I don't hate it and they open early are are a diner so... I grabbed my Kindle and walked up four blocks and got there at 7:50. The lights were on and there were people inside and I figured they didn't open til 8. Ok. I'd kill 10 minutes but I went across the street to look at the sign on their door and it said they didn't open til 9. WTF?
So I came home and made breakfast myself. It was cheaper and delicious. And I now have already had my walk.
I just got up to get more coffee and discovered that Zoey threw up last night. She rarely does but when she does, she moves while she does it so she manages to cover a good bit of real estate. I decided that waiting until after my coffee to deal with it would not have an downside.
I have a checking and a savings at a local credit union. I keep them mainly because once in a while - a great while actually these days - it helps to have a banking person on the ground face to face. I keep my rainy day funds in there and feed it now and again but rarely need to even access it.
I do like to check on it now and again and their web team is not the healthiest so half the time their website gives my chromebook fits. I can use my phone but their app is shit, too. Just this morning I finally remembered to try a user agent.
In the olden days, we used user agents to test out web pages. Maybe they still do, I don't know. A user agent spills code into your browser to make it think it's got a different environment. It's like telling your web page - this is really an apple machine using Opera. Or a Windows machine using FireFox. And your browser will believe it. So I just grabbed a user agent and clicked on Windows and Firefox and, sure enough, the credit union's website came right up and let me log in.
Kind of nice when old tricks work on new stuff.
I have a few things I want to get done today but nothing big or critical. There is no baseball on TV until Tuesday so I have between now and then to clean out the coffers.
But, first I have some clean up to do.
