Could be that I'm getting there!
I left home this morning headed for Costco but the more I thought about that walk across the parking lot, the more I though Fuck Noooo! it's too damn cold! I popped, instead, into Grocery Outlet and stocked up for the storm.
It feels really cold in this house. The thermometer says it's 66 so it actually is kind of cold. I could turn the heat on but I'm not quite there yet. I could also get up off my ass and move but I'm absolutely not there!
Two years ago at the gym one morning, I came back to the locker room from the pool to discover that my purse and brand new phone had been stolen out of my locked locker. A few days later, I saw on TV that woman had her car keys stolen out of her locked locker, same gym, and her BMW stolen out of the parking garage.
Well, it happened again. Last night between 7 and 9, a woman was in LA Fitness working out when her locker was broken into and the thief made off with her stuff and then her Lexus.
Since my rip off, I no longer leave anything in one of those lockers that I cannot live without. I do not take a purse into the gym with me. I keep my phone and keys in my swim bag and take it with me to the pool where I hang it up along the pool side where I can see it at all times.
I love that pool (except when the heater is broken or the chemicals are fucked up) but that gym is just a mess of problems.
I got a good start on my tiny project. And I'm way happier with the organization. I also have better glue. And since it's tidier, I am ok with doing a little at a time and not rushing so I can get it all put away. Progress.
More and more Seattle weather people are hoping on the snow bandwagon. Apparently, there's gonna be a lot of it starting on Friday. I'm actually kind of sad. The only person I know who loves the snow like I do is ljtourist and he's leaving Friday for a week in the Bahamas. I know he'll have fun but it must be killing him to miss what could be our biggest snow in a couple of decades. I just read a tweet quoting some source saying the downtown area (where we both live) could get 18-22 inches. I'll just have to enjoy it for the both of us.
