I got the timing just right this morning. I got in 1,350 yards and still managed to get back onto the bridge by 6 and home without stopping. By the time I got my coffee and checked, Twitter reported backups on the bridge and also on the streets from the bridge to home. So whew!

Today I hope to finish the tiny house but if not finish then, at least, get to a point where I can put it away until Thursday.

And then I'm going back into that thumb drive I got yesterday. I already found a whole folder of more photos and documents of my immediate family. It's really amazing all the work she did to gather all this stuff.

It seems like maybe I should get out and go do something but why. I swam. That should be enough. I'll get out tomorrow when the house cleaner is here.

The city council voted yesterday to create a special district for taxing purposes. The district includes the condos and businesses along the Seattle waterfront and those at both ends and a few blocks over. Me. Translation: I will get to pay $3000 to the city for living 4-5 blocks away from what they say will someday be a lovely place for tourists. Yeah, not excited about that opportunity.

This is in addition to the 40% increase in my county property tax.

Yeah I'm really jazzed about all of this.

Meanwhile, my property has decreased in value by about 30% this year from the past few years. And will likely continue to decline over the next few years.

It's a good thing I have no plans to move or sell any time soon. Between the prices and the taxes, these condos are tanking in value.

Ok, enough of that crapola. Time to get to work on the house that matters.
