This, from Karen (John's wife) at the gym. We had chatted last week about plans - her mother visiting/my brother. I always feel like I go through my life pretty much unnoticed. Strangely to me, nice, and flattering, that even casual observers notice when I'm not there.
My brother and his wife are at the airport now, about 15 minutes away from boarding. Of course they left early because tourist traffic, Friday morning, rush hour. And, it was clear sailing easy peasy. Thank you Murphy. I'm sure they will be glad to get home.
It's going to be another hot day here so I'm in for the day. Even if the a/c in my car wasn't broken, I don't really have any place I need to go. I could use some groceries but I have other food and will certainly not starve.
I have some sewing/fixing to do. A shirt I made last week is too big. And I intentionally bought an extra extra large Everett Aquasox t-shirt so I'd have lots of options to make it fit me perfectly.
And it's time for a new swimsuit. One of my oldies but goodies is giving up the ghost. It's stretched out past the 'ohhhh this is so comfy now' point and is heading to the 'hmmmm, is there an inappropriate body part about to escape?'. So it's time. I have the needed supplies on hand.
Just got the text that they are all boarded and ready to go. Guess I'll get off my ass and get started on my day.
