All week, with no swimming, I've been waking up at 6ish.
This morning I was wide awake at 4:30 and I really, seriously, considered getting up and going to the pool. I didn't because, as I lie in bed, it is difficult to judge how well I'm breathing and, after waiting this long, I don't want to go back too soon - to try and fail. So I went back to sleep.
But, when I did get up, I discovered that my lungs are way happier than they have been in days. The scooter is in the closet and I don't see a need for getting it out today. I have to go back to the fabric store this morning to return something I bought yesterday but I can walk. I'm sure of it.
And I am way worried about the swim tomorrow. I'm pretty sure I'm not going to run into problems. I think we are very close to proclaiming The Great 7-Week Winter Plague is over.
I have learned a lot. 1. Prednisone at the first cough. 2. Cut down on activities. 3. When prednisone stops, test first before resuming activities. If panting, stop all until no panting. Next time will be way less bad. I'm much smarter now.
I have a top to sew up today and the walk to the fabric store and, really, that is it. Besides breathing easy.
