Not sweating the small things

It's 8:30 am and already there have been a slew of annoyances but I just realized that even the collection of them all is rolling off my back. They are no big deal. This, too, shall pass. Don't sweat the small stuff.

C'est moi today.

I know I have been getting better at this but today, I'm just impressed.

I've been looking for a sewing pattern for a particular style (saddle shouldered sleeves in a pullover) for a while. Finally last night I found it. It's a Finnish sewing magazine that includes 20 patterns. The magazine is on paper (translated into English) but the patterns are downloadable PDF's. The pattern I want is in an issue from 2 years ago. I clicked on buy and problem solved. I love the internet. I never want to go back.

There is an issue with the links to the pattern but I'm sure that will be noodled out soon via email. The holdup there now is time zone. I can wait another day.

Besides today will be swimsuit day. When I was going through my fabric stash, I found a swimsuit all cut out and ready to sew. I almost tossed it into the scrap pile but, at the last minute realized what it actually was. Note to self: BIG LABELS, PLEASE. Happily, I have lining fabric on hand. I used to make my suits unlined until I discovered that they did not last nearly as long without the support of the lining. So now all get full lining which is a simple, cheap fix.

And I need to make a run to Grocery Outlet. Time to get to it!
