Toll House ... score!

I woke up at 4:30 and bolted out of bed. I turned on the lights and grabbed my swimsuit and was in the middle of peeing when I realized it was Saturday. I put the swimsuit down, turned off the lights and went back to sleep for an hour and a half.

There was no one waiting at the door today when the gym opened except me. And he opened up at 6:55. A woman came in right after me and when we got into the locker room she said 'I love when they let us in early. It makes me feel special.' I totally agree on both counts. Especially after years of LA Fitness where a good day was when they opened only 5 minutes late.

The pool never did get really crowded. It was nice. Then I went on to breakfast and then on to the first of the two Christmas bazaars. That one turns out to be next week. Snap! On to the next one. It was very small town and low key and nice. Stuff you cannot buy in stores. Mostly stuff you wouldn't want but still... Then I hit a table of baked stuff. And they had what looked suspiciously like Toll House cookies. I bought a bag, plus some other stuff and went out to the car. I took a bite of the cookie to make sure... YEP. And I went back in and bought the other bag they had.

I love love love Toll House cookies. Besides the deliciousocity, they are special. You can't have them unless someone makes them in their own kitchen - not an industrial kitchen - a kitchen like the one in my house. So finding true Toll House cookies is rare and treasured. Today I scored big time.

Then I stopped by Rudy's Barbershop. The haircut I got at the Rudy's in my neighborhood a couple of weeks ago is fine on the top and the sides but he left the back in a full on mullet and it was driving me crazy. I thought about chopping it off myself but figured I'd make a mess of my hair and a mess of where ever I did the chopping. So I went into Rudy's and laid out my issue and they fixed me right up. $15 plus tip. And they apologized for charging. They said next time to come in within a week and the fix is free. I told them next time I'd come there and no fix will be needed.

Now I'm home with no big plans for the rest of the day. Maybe I'll go back and see if I can make a dent in my scrap drawer by using them for some creature creations. I want to save all my big fabric for serging!
