Waiting... waiting...

It's 6:45. I'm caught up on the internets. And now I'm waiting. The pool doesn't open until 8. It takes me 15 minutes to get there. It takes another 10 minutes to get dressed and get to the car. Even if I build in padding, it makes no sense to leave here before 7:40.

It's going to be another hot one today. But, I think after swimming, I'm going to brave it and make a run for the Dollar Store and then, since it's next door, Popeye's. Then home for some sewing. The baseball game is at 3 which is a very convenient time for me. Thank you, mlb.

Tomorrow starts back to school around here. In the past, this has meant a lot of traffic pain for me getting home from the pool in the mornings. September is the worst. But, it was traffic that last year drove me to start going as early as possible and so now I am coming home about 6:30 am and so missing the mayhem. I'll be interested to see what it looks like in September.

In the olden days, Labor Day was always the first cool day of fall here in Seattle. But, this year we're holding off, apparently til Thursday. At least decent weather is in sight. My brain is just fried from this Summer. I'll be so glad to see clouds and rain and chill. Plus, I'm ready for long sleeves and winter clothes. I'm tired of looking at the old lady skin on these arms!

I think I'll get up (typing from bed here) change the sheets on this bed before I make it up.
