Fail Fail...

One of the purchases I made at the show last week was a kit to make a small wallet. It was fabric and vinyl and other bits with what looked like good instructions. I started putting it together yesterday. I went slowly and carefully and measured a million times. I decided to work on it this afternoon and, again, slowly and carefully gave it a good shot but fuck it... into the trash it went. It wasn't worth the trouble and I could see that the end result was not going to be spectacular. I don't remember what I paid but it was more than was wise at the time and, now, in retrospect way more. Oh well.

And, in kind of a reverse fail... I managed to coax the Nexus 7 back to life. Yep, that's the tablet that I'm replacing with the chromebook that Amazon has now Out For Delivery. Hmmmmmm So that rachets up the stakes for the Return/Keep decision.

I have been sucking down my albuterol inhaler every morning for a couple of weeks now. This morning when I got up, I was not gasping as usual, so I skipped it. I felt the absence a little in the pool but not so much. I had a little coughing spell this morning so I popped a benzonatate and that fixed that. And the rest of the day has been fine. Interesting.

I have my annual checkup with Dr. Lung (both my gp and my lung doctor are named Dr. Lee) a week from Monday so I'm trying to get a more precise handle on my current lung situation. I'm pretty sure he's coll with however I want to treat the symptoms and there sure ain't no cure but I do want to be accurate when I report in. I tried taking independent notes but kept forgetting for I'm hoping that by documenting here, I'll remember and/or at least have some sort of reference.

I picked up some cheese snacks at Trader Joe's last weekend. And they turned out to be fabulous.

Now I'm going to have to go back and get more. Lot's more. Saturday.

The dolls made and the Mariners beat the World Champion Cubs. Not a bad day at all...
