Over achieving

I had on my swim booster seat today. I got in early (thank you front desk person) and just swam and swam and swam. I did about 10 minutes extra and enjoyed it so much. Then after my shower, I went back to the car, left my swim stuff and grabbed a shopping bag to go to Trader Joes. I walked up a hill and then decided to walk around the long way to the front door. Before I got there, my watch vibrated that I had reached my fitness goal for the day!! Ha. It was 9:15. Usually I hit the goal about dinner time.

Today is another 11 am game with the Chicago Cubs. I'm hoping for revenge. I'll settle for a win. The Cubs are out for blood and I think our guys are just 'hey, we get to play in Wrigley field!!'. Oh well.

It's less hot today but the sun is out and there is a private (Starbucks HQ employees) family fun day going on across the street that is going to be loud so I'm fine with keeping the shades down, the door closed and the a/c on.

There will be knitting and cooking during baseball and sewing after. I'm going to make up some twice baked potatoes for the freezer. Yeah, I get that heating up the oven on a hot day is stupid but my oven is incredibly insulated. As long as the door's closed, it doesn't get hot on the exterior. I've tried deli versions and frozen versions and, frankly, no one makes them as good as I do.

I bake the potatoes, cut them in half lengthwise and scoop the potato out of the shells. The I add sour cream, cheese, salt and pepper and LOTS of butter, and then stuff them back into the shells. The bigger ones, I cut in half. And then I put them into the freezer until they are rock solid. Then I can just plop them into plastic bags. I usually thaw before I give it the second bake.

That's the plan for today.
