That's the last time I'm going outside until September

I got a wild hair up my butt to go get sushi for lunch at the deli. It's exactly one long block and then 1/2 block from here on side walks with very few small trees and no other vegetation. And one guy with a leaf blower blowing invisible leaves. He turned it off as I walked past.

I got there, got my sushi and got halfway home before I started what turned out to be a horrible horrible coughing fit. An I can't breathe, coughing up a lung, pee in your pants, coughing fit. I managed to get inside my condo and, fortunately, had water right there by the door. I just sat on the floor and drank water and coughed until I could get up and find my albuterol inhaler and things started to get better. But, now, 40 minutes later, I'm still coughing a little.

Twice in 2 weeks is twice too many for me. So my own personal concept of my lung capacity is, apparently, way different than my lung reality. This is kind of a bummer.

I absolutely need to stay away from dust and dust blowers and the outside. I'm not a huge fan of the outside anyway. Especially not in Summer so the sacrifice is not great and I guess I should be grateful to be getting such a clear picture of my limitations.

I probably should go back on Advair but I really really don't want to.

In other news, I'm firing up my old Kindle. I want to get back in the habit of reading words. I read via audio every night before I go to bed but there are some things I want to read the words of - like Mary Roach's new book. And some library books. I can - and will - use my phone and tablet but I really like how my Kindle feels and I think that's going to be a better way to make a habit.
