A cold snowy? winter?

It's really pretty chilly here today. I feel like it's going to be a rather cold winter with maybe (hopefully) some snow. Last winter it never really got cold. So I'm looking forward to something different. At night, I always open the door to the terrace and leave it open til morning. I think last winter, it was maybe too cold to do that 2 nights total. I'm thinking maybe I won't do it tonight.

Also while swimming this morning I realized that while I love snow and hope we see some, it could have a major impact on my swimming. Even cold - ice - could throw a damper on it because of this long bridge between me and the pool. There is no handy bus, but there is bus service so worst case, as long as the buses are running.

The pool this morning was great. Me and my friend Brody. And then just as I got out and got back to the locker room, a bunch of regular swimmers showed up all at once. Timing. I haz it. I'm learning that leaving here between 7 and 7:30 is the best in terms of efficient use of my time and pool population. Sometimes that traffic is a PIA but mostly not.

Today after my swim, I actually did stop in the barber shop and got my hair cut. So proud of me. I'm probably good now til after Christmas. And then I went on to a place called Seattle Fabrics. I'd heard about it over and over again and never been. They do outdoor fabrics. Tents and sails and stuff but they have a large selection of fleece and of spandex - only solid colors. And they have a bunch of other cool stuff. I didn't buy much but was fascinated to see what they carry.

I think I figured out how to make a reversible swim suit. I need to figure out a good way to attach contrasting binding around the elastic and it will be perfect.

I've got no more plans for today. Whatever happens... happens!
