Another quiet day in the neighborhood

Today's football game is being played somewhere else so all is quiet here. I am still on my bed with my computer and tablet and coffee and cat. On a game day, even with the only outside access being the closed door some 40 feet across the living room and kitchen and half wall, I would be able to hear the mayhem fairly clearly. Now all I can hear is the clock ticking and Zoey's collar bell as she does her morning rounds around the house. The quiet is lovely. This time next week there will be lots of noise which will be lovely, too.

I've spent a good bit of time with the PDF of my new stove. It will be fun to have more than one induction burner. And there's a keep warm area and the operational panel has a lot going on. But, the oven is the totally new territory for me - I've never used a convection oven before. Space age!!

This morning I've been playing with the new/used tablet. A couple of years ago I had a gynormous Samsung phone that had an S-pen. I did a fair amount of sketching and drawing on it using a program that was really good. This tablet also has an S-pen but I could not remember the name of the program. I downloaded and tried a bunch of different ones today and then finally tripped over the one. It used to be called Sketchbook Pro but now is Autodesk Sketchbook. (Google needs a better search engine for it's Play Store - Bing, maybe?) Anyway. Now I'm all set up.

The new quilt/afghan liner is perfection. Just the right feel. Just the right weight. Just the right snuggle. I'm so glad I switched it out.

I considered going out for brunch but I get all cheap having spent so much money yesterday and I have a fridge full of very excellent brunch material so I think I'll stay out of everyone's way today. Although, yesterday I ate at the same restaurant I've been to a bunch of Saturday's recently and it was a ghost town. It's usually really busy but yesterday, for a lot of my breakfast, I was the only customer. Weird. So maybe I should go do my part.... Nah.
