Sunday randoms

I read Gone Girl a while back. It was intriguing in the beginning. And then I came to hate both characters. I did finish it but with genuine relief that it was over. I do not remember what happened and don't care. I have zero interest in seeing the movie.

I got sucked into the Nationals/Giants game last night. All freakin' 18 innings.  I really don't care about post season baseball. Really. And I keep watching. This has got to stop.

Today is my swim lesson. The pool opens at noon and my lesson is at 12:30. My plan is to be there at noon and get in a few laps or dives before my lesson. The instructor is Katie. I have no clue who she is. But she's the only one who teaches on Sundays. I usually don't swim on Sundays because I don't want to wait until noon and the few times I have been there have been way too many kids (noise) and lane divas. I'll be interested to see if that has changed. Now that the Mariners are no longer playing, maybe I'll like going at noon better.

I have time to go find brunch somewhere but it's just now 8 and the top places on my list don't open until 10. I think I'll just do breakfast here. I have plenty of breakfast food on hand.

I signed up for a crochet class at Knit Fit in November. I can knit in the dark and what I don't know, I can teach myself easily but crochet is different. I'm not that good and not that good at teaching me. I've wanted to take a class from the Shibaguyz and they are offering up one at this event. Motif Madness. It's not the class I would have picked but I figured it will be good enough. The price tag was a bit more than I wanted to pay but, I finally went the 'you can't take it with you' route and signed up.

I often think about living somewhere else - somewhere totally remote. I think as long as I had cable tv and broadband internet, I'd be fine. Then I start making a list of all the things that wouldn't be fine. All the things that make me love Seattle and living urbanly.

The Knit Fit thing is one of those many things that make me feel that, if I didn't live here, I'd so wish I did.

Breakfast time.
