Ann learned from the city today that Seattle City Light is required to give 24 days' notice to the customers affected by any planned outage. We got 8 days notice of the outages they were supposed to have this weekend. One of those was twice as long as promised and one didn't happen - with no notice of the latter. So far, no official notice of tomorrow's plans.
Apparently, there are new assholes carved into new board members and old. The HOA president who resigned last December was attacked this morning by a woman who lives upstairs and had her party cancelled yesterday. The new president got back into town this morning and was thrown into the deep shit before she could put her purse down.
The live in building manger left for vacation this morning - turns out he's way smarter than I give him credit for - he's leaving the country (Canada)!! Before he left, he emailed the residents with the telephone number and email address of his contact at Seattle City Light. I do not want to even think about what his inbox and voice mail is like today.
All of the above, coupled with the fact that I don't have swimming tomorrow til 11 and the laundry is all done and I'll run the dish washer after dinner tonight, leaves me a little sanguine about the whole thing. I'm in whatever happens happens mode.
It's out of my hands and into the hands of people I don't want to get near. (And I'm even grateful I didn't get invited to Sarah's party!)
