Instead of wondering when your next vacation is, you should set up a life you don’t need escape from. #EverydayVacation
Just yesterday someone asked what I'm often asked, 'are you going on vacation this Summer?' and when I say no the asker is always shocked and unhappy. 'not going anywhere???!!!'. This has always amused me and kind of confused me. But now I know. I have a Vacation Life! No need to escape at all!
I just found out that my sister-in-law, yesterday, slipped in the grass and broke one ankle and sprained the other one. My brother says she has degenerative issues and no muscles so no support and something like this is just a matter of time. He says that it's hard for him to not get annoyed. But, he doesn't think there's anything she can do. She had gastric bypass surgery years ago and lost very little weight and refuses to exercise or change any bad habits and that does make him crazed. But... as he just said in a text:
One of my favorite people in the world, Pat Summit said: "It is what it is but it will be what you make it".... working that all the time.
(Fortunately, a couple of years ago, they sold their house and moved into the other half of his shop so they have concrete floors and bathrooms at both ends of the place that are set up for handicap access. So today, she's near him (and the techs in the shop) if she needs stuff but can roll around on an office chair and easily get to the bathroom on her own.)
