I finally nailed the car deal for my Kiwi friends' visit. I had several missteps mainly to my needing a place to leave my car and I ended up getting way more car than I need (2007 BMW X3) but I think it will be fun to be big and fancy for a few days. Plus the guy has a Relay Rides track record (a good one) and responded to my request in 10 minutes. He has a secured garage for my car. It's going to be fine. Whew. I am sure glad to have that taken care of.
When I first got up this morning, I had some giant sneezes - a bunch in a row and I started to raise the caution flag but now, an hour later, all seems fine. I do not need a cold or anything else, thankyouverymuch.
Today is bear delivery day. I'll drop them off on the way to the pool. I have a magazine interview this afternoon. I would ordinarily say no thank you to this kind of thing but this reporter asked so nicely. She's doing a story on surveillance cameras/webcams and I actually do have something to say on the subject. I was immediately rewarded for my consent by her saying she'd use a Google hangout to do the interview. (Skype or the phone or really anything else would be way more inconvenient than hangouts which are easy peasy and comfortable for me.)
I got an email this morning that my Dyson heater/cooler fan is being recalled. It does not appear to be an April Fool's joke but I need to look up the serial number to find out. If my fan is on the recall list, I drop it off at a UPS store, they pack and ship. Dyson fixes and sends it back with a new 2 year warranty. Not a bad deal at all - especially this time of year when I'm not using it. The fan uses too much electricity for my house but otherwise is a perfect solution for me and is cool looking. It was way too expensive and has turned out to be worth every penny.
Time now to get up and get on with myday.
