Old age and self endugence

What a big baby.  Children lose teeth every day.  Even I had a tooth pulled about 15 years ago and went right back to work.  Not today.  Came home and took a nap.  I got up and went to get that percocet prescription filled.  I came home and ate some pudding with one of the pills.  And went back to sleep and didn't wake up til after 5.

The hurt is way less now than it was.  Now it's just kind of ache all over my face.  But ache, not hurt.

For dinner I'm enjoying a Diet Dr. Pepper with some peanut butter on a spoon.  I'm thinking yogurt for a next course with more pudding for dessert.

I'm glad I did it.  $327 total bill which, honesty, I thought was pretty reasonable.  The root canal/crown deal would have been a whole lot more.  (The dentist was oh so kind in his discussion of all my options to include my silly proclivities as well as cost in his discussion 'you may find that involves too much time in the chair' and 'going this route, though, could really mount up the costs.'

I cannot imagine any scenario where I would feel comfortable in any dental situation but if I have to do it, these people were the best.  They were quietly careful and nice and patient and respectful without making a big todo out of my clear discomfort.

And I am sooooo grateful that they were able to get it all done in one morning. I cannot imagine how stressful it would have been to have had to go back another day to get the pull done.  Now, by the time, the pool opens on Monday, I'll be cleared to get back in.  All's well that ends well and the end of this is near!
