Thank you, Tyler!

The stock market just closed for the year and for the stuff I own pieces of, it ended on a lovely high note.  My net worth, right this minute, is higher than it has ever been before.  I know it's temporary. I am living off my investments - buying food and gadgets instead of reinvesting and still their total mounts.  In the stock market and other investment vehicles what go uppeth come downeth and I know that but for now, I'm feeling good.  My financial adviser, Tyler, does a magnificent job.  I'm very lucky but I'm also very careful. I have no net, no backup, no rich uncle, no husband, parents, no fairy godmother. I have no job and horrible lungs. But, right now, I'm thinking that I might not end up a bag lady on the street and that makes me very happy.

The pool today was packed.  A lot of college aged looking kids fighting the regulars for a spot in the fast and very fast lanes.  Happily the Easy and very easy (my home town) lanes were just the regulars. And my swim was great. There were also a lot of tiny children with parents in the shall end section (not part of lane swimming).  They came in as I was leaving.  There was a lot of toddler screeching going on as I got the fuck out of there.

I picked up a Papa John's bake it yourself pizza. I've always wanted to try one and today seemed like as good a time as any.

I spent what ended up being a couple of hours in a hangout this afternoon with my brother.  His business is doing good and we chatted about some of the new things he was doing and his website and his newsletter.  He has 3 tech's right now and we're going feature one each issue.  The first round (and maybe the first couple) will be introductions.  I'm handling this project and I'm jacked about it.  I think it will be fun to do and will add a nice little section to the newsletter.  He's discovering that his newsletter is bringing him business and raising the level of dialogue with the businesses he already services so we'll be paying more attention to it.  He's maybe thinking that a lot of February's issue will be CES coverage.  Can do!!
