Starting last night...

I decided that I didn't need the Breathe Right strips now that I run the humidifier all night.  The first night was fine.  But last night - the second night - was NOT fine.  I woke up with the driest mouth on the face of the earth - several times - and finally at 5:30, I woke up so much that going back to sleep for 30 minutes was a waste of time.

The pool opens at 7 on Saturdays and is about 20 minutes away.  So I futzed around and had coffee and got organized leisurely.  Then I stopped at my favorite gas station and filled up and got to the pool about 3 mins before it opened.

My swim was perfect. This pool has 6 lanes but they usually combine 2 lanes giving a nice, wide berth where passing is easy and peril-free.  So I could go fast, if I wanted and slow if I wanted and weave in and out.  There was a lot more going on besides swimming which was fun for once.  I got to 80 lengths without even realizing it so then I kept on going for a while.  The class I used to go to starts at 8:30 so when I got out and got showered, I ran into my old classmates coming in.  It was fun to see them and we got caught up.

My regular pool will be back open on Saturdays after today but maybe once in a while, I"ll go back to the one today for old time's sake.

After my swim I headed out across town to try a new place I read about in the Ballard neighborhood.  Found it with ease. It's just across the street from the gym with two pools that I plan to use once my insurance with Silver Sneakers kicks in next March.  It was different and good and not crowded with pleasant music.  I will go back to that spot.

I couldn't think of anything else I needed to do so I headed home.  I did make a stop at Staples looking for one thing which I did not find but found two other small things I've been looking for for a while.  Then home.

And here I am for the rest of the day, I think.
