I think I could have gone on for a long time but at about the 30 minute mark, I remembered the chef salad and soon I was just too hungry to go on. So I got home through the Mariner traffic.
I built a huge chef salad: Iceburg, chopped up salami, ham, hardboiled egg, tomatoes, pickled onions topped with grated parmesan, big fat Anita-made croutons and my own creamy blue cheese dressing.
3/4 cup whipping cream
1/2 cup mayo
a capful of apple vinegar
a pinch of sugar
a cup of blue cheese crumbles
It was delicious. I have enough of everything for another one, too.
As much as I hate all the chopping and mess, it was totally worth it this time.
The Mariners are losing again, the a/c is holding his own (love love love that guy) and all is under control here. I am sorry to be missing pride, until I think of how how it is...
