I do not enjoy naps. I don't like how I feel when I wake up and I don't like wasting daylight.  The rest of my family are big and very good nappers. I remember hating naps when I was little.  I specifically remember not napping when we lived in Kansas City - so before I was 6.  I remember one weekend (must have been because Daddy was home), instead of sleeping, I designed and made sandals from stuff I found in my room - cardboard and cloth and glue.  When I got up, I showed them to Mother and Daddy.  Daddy was so impressed, he helped me make a much more substantial pair.  And Mom wasn't even mad that I didn't sleep.  I think a lesson was learned.

But, for the past two days, I've gotten so sleepy during the day that naps felt better than battling staying awake.  I do feel better after the first five minutes or so after waking up and today I got up and made breakfast burritos for the freezer so maybe it's not a total waste of time.

And I missed some of today's so far losing Mariner game.  Sorry, Boston.
