Saturday - soooooo quiet

It's only 57 degrees out and 73 degrees in here so the air conditioner is taking a rest. That makes it very quiet in here. There is no sound outside either. It's kind of eerie. But nice.

Biggie has taken to spending a lot of time in the top bowl of the cat tree. He's up there now, snoozing away but ever on alert in case a bird or a bug happens or I move off the couch.

Because I like to torture myself, I periodically check the two gyms that have pools I could use if they were open. LA Fitness shows no sign that they are reopening here, although they do seem to have pools open in some of the gyms that have already reopened. The pricey club downtown still says no old people and no pool anyway. But the club in West Seattle with the nice big pool says their pool opened last week!! Sadly, however, my lungs hate their chemicals. My swim life is doomed.

I finished a great book on my walk this morning. The Ruin by Dervla McTiernan. Thanks to all that database work I did a week or so ago, finding the next read, which is often a struggle, was easy peasy.

Last night I discovered that Tivo neglected to record some of a new Masterpiece series I wanted to see. Beecham House. I'd already missed the first two episodes. Thankfully the Roku PBS channel had them for me and I watched the first on last night. I'm not a big history buff but every once in a while one of these just grabs me and I think this is one.

I'm having a hard time getting started today. Nothing big on the agenda but it's already 10 am and I haven't even brushed my teeth yet. On it.
