doh!

After my swim, I went directly (via sausage biscuit and coffee at McDonalds) to the pharmacy even thought the morning rush hour wasn't done yet. Got there. Got my prescription. $2.70. I was worried that it might toss me over the Medicare donut hole line and I'd have to pay full price. Had a nice friendly chat with the cashier (who can be a bit snippy so she's always my challenge) and was on the way to the car when I looked and saw that I had ordered the wrong damn drug!

I take 2 blood pressure drugs and 1 cholesterol drug. I resent mightily having to take any of it. I mean really resent it. This leads me right into denial. I move the pills out of pill bottles as soon as I get them home. I refuse to remember what their names are and have to look them up every time. (I keep the details - names, prices, Rx nums, and pictures in Evernote.) And, so, this time, when I looked it up, I looked it up wrong. Sigh.

And it was a prescription that had expired so they have to get a renewal from my doctor first.

So... again... I will forget, find excuses not to go and, finally, do a repeat of this morning. So silly.

Zoey's new favorite wet food is Anything Different. She keeps a favorite food about 3 days and then she's no longer interested. So my house now looks like a cat food hoarder's house and she's bitching, right now, about the breakfast I just served her which was the same as yesterday. I think she wants to order off a menu. She has plenty of dry kibbles and likes those, too. And she runs around enough to keep her trim figure so at least I don't have to worry about that.

I just saw (on front door TV network) the mail carrier come in with today's packages. The cable I ordered should be in the pile. Today's cable is to connect up another chromebook to another monitor. I hate having black screens and I love having pretty pictures cycle through the 'frame' all day.

So there will be some more cable work today and then the regular dolls and bears and futzing around. And I need to pick which audio book to start tonight. I finished my latest one last night.

This and that

Today was a hodge podge...

I'm still trying to noodle out a scheme for carrying my ID, cash and credit cards. Taking my purse (even as small and pared down as it is) to the gym just seems stupid and pointless. BUT, I need a driver's license to get there. I even looked up the law to ensure that it's clear there is no loophole here. There isn't. So I think I'm going to keep my license in the car. If I go clubbing and/or buying marijuana, I'll just have to remember to get it out of the car. I do have an expired one I can keep with me for emergencies.

A month or so ago, I split up my big Pothos plant into pretty smaller pots. The idea was to have them on hand for gifts. They are really nice plants and you have to work so so so very hard to kill them that it's not worth the effort. They are now nicely matured and looking quite respectable so I'm going to take one to Barrie's tomorrow as a thank you for inviting me and making me breakfast gift. I'm really looking forward to seeing her house.

And I made a couple of dolls.
