Still swamped

I'm thinking I may be in over my head. Work wise, I mean. I just discovered that one project due for completion on Wednesday still has about 4 days of work to do and it's not the only project on my plate between now and then. ARUGH. I really am going to have to acquire some work management skills and learn, maybe, to say no thank you.

I got about half of today's project done and decided it was enough and I was due some down time.

I was going to take a little break and watch a little TV today but about the time I got started my neighbor called from downstairs all steamed about some party last night that kept them up till 4 a.m. plus she wants to try a new restaurant up the street tonight so I said fine.

Then Mom called and about the time we got into it, the aid came to change some dressing on something so she said she'd call me back.

While I was waiting for her to call me back, I decided to organize the thing that's due Wednesday and that's when I discovered the huge job disaster.

Then Mom called me back and we kind of chatted. It was kind of a strange conversation but then she got into some mumbo jumbo that made no sense talking about calling me back until finally it dawned on me.... "Are you talking in code so the sitter won't know what you are saying?" "YES!!!!" She nearly came through the phone. Ohhhhkay... I told her I was going to be here until Lee and I went to dinner so to call me back when she got alone and she said she would. No clue what that is about.

My Roomba is dead again. This replacement they sent me last time it died was never as good as my original one. I'll call tomorrow and get them to send me a new one. Again.

We have no snow. Zero. Not a flake. Hell, we don't even have rain.

Sorry to hear about Roomba! I'd been thinking of buying some iRobot stock, but it feels too iffy (I'm a nervous nelly anyway). Hope you get a good replacement.

Yeah, I've never gotten any of their stock. I love the Roomba but I just don't think it's an adult yet and I'm not sure iRobot is really going to see it through to adulthood.

On the up side, I have about 6 more months on my year long warranty and Sharper Image is great about replacing.

We have no snow.

I'd mail you some (we have plenty to spare) but I don't think it would be quite the same.

Yeah... But I do love the thought. Thanks.
