Project Makeover

The first Goodwill load is already in the car! I'm proud. And, there's a chance, that for now anyway, that may be it for Goodwill.

Now, I'm going through every single drawer and throwing out the stuff I don't need. I just tossed about 75 empty hard plastic audio cassette boxes. I have no idea why I even have had them. This condo is now a totally panty-hose free zone.

One cart load has already gone down to the dumpsters this morning and another cart is nearly half full.

I'm being tough on my stuff and I'm having to tote carts down to the dumpsters or into the car fast so that I can quickly abandon the battle of: 'you might need those old jeans one day for patches or if you want to make a purse out of old blue jeans'.

I have a lot of office supplies in this house. They are mostly in the DMZ - stuff that might go after I see 'the plan' on Tuesday.

My goal for the weekend is to have every drawer and every shelf gone through and audited and purged except for the keeps and the DMZ stuff. And that stuff in some kind of organization. I will do it.

I admire your determination and ability to carry out those goals.

I am terrible about "going through drawers." I start looking at old pictures, or reading old things I should have tossed long ago!

Ha ha ha at "the panty hose free" zone.

Every 10-12 years everyone should either move or remodel. I figure I am so far ahead of the game, I will never do it again. LOL. I thought that the last three places I lived.
