Happenings!

TiVo got a massive upgrade this morning. I only upgraded one of my TiVos just to be safe but the upgrade went fine. I'll do the other one this afternoon. It's entirely optional. It's a lot different. But, I like it. It adds voice but I don't have the correct remote yet to test that. Even without the voice it's a lovely upgrade. And it was fast. In the olden days, a simple reboot of TiVo could tie up your TV for hours, even if it worked right the first time which never happened. We've come a long way baby.

The pool was packed to the gills this morning. I was there when the door opened and was out to the pool in a flash and was already the third one in. But, my swim was nice and I thought of a very neat coat to make and figured out how to do it. It's going to be a fleece patchwork. My two favorite things.

But, first I need to sew pants. I cut out 3 pair yesterday and I plan to sew at least a couple of them up today.

I read this morning that my Amazon Prime includes downloading 250 songs a month to play offline. I got all excited about adding new music to my swim mix. But, alas (and of course) they are bound inextricably to the Amazon player so now way to get them out so I can play them on anything else, like the iPod Shuffle. If/when the Kickstarter player (operating on Android) I order arrives, the 250 new songs a month will be great. However, the latest is that it is delayed ... again. I'm not holding my breath on that one.

The Seahawkians are in full force outside now. I actually had a hard time getting home from the pool with most of the streets around here blocked off. I think they shut them down about 9 am for a 1 pm game. At least it's chilly enough that I don't have to have my door open and so the sound is nicely dampened down. It's actually rather pleasant background noise right now.
