And the streak is saved!

Since I didn't swim my mile this morning, I was worried about my fitness tracker streak. I just walked over to the Japanese grocery swing my tracker arm for emphasis. And I was hauling old lady ass with my walk, too. In the rain (which I don't think the tracker actually cares about...)

And... I made up the diff! I am now about right where I normally am at noon. I'm sure that streak is saved. But the real good news is that I think this means I have a place to swim on Saturdays! My regular pool is only available until 9 due to an aqua fitness class. It doesn't open til 8 and I was worried about getting my mile in/goal met. But I think today's enforced experiment proves that even if I have to quit before I want to, I can salvage the streak.

Yeah, I'm way too into this fitness tracker and the streak. I know it. I can't do anything about it. Oh well.

For the past couple of days, whenever I get into the car, particularly in the middle of the day (as opposed to mornings to the pool and back), I've felt like I was losing time. The car clock is set to regular time and I don't bother resetting it for DST. I just do the math when I check the time. Only my math has been off. Finally I focused on it this morning and realized it was set to the correct time! I guess the guys at the Mercedes place did that. Way to fuck me up, guys! Now I have to decide if I'm going to change it back next month. Oh the stress.

This morning my phone rang. I looked at the screen to swipe it to Ignore and saw that the call was from Berks County Prison. Hmmmmmm The only person I know with any ties to Berks County, Pennsylvania is ljtourist who is supposed to be in Europe. Plus even if he was not and was, actually, at home in prison, he's got tons of family there, why in the heck would he call me? I came very close to answering just to satisfy my curiosity when the call ended. Now, I'll never know.
