And, by the way, a ginko tree is one of the most glorious trees in autumn. Those fan leaves turn golden. Literally, the brightest yellow imaginable. Individually, the leaves are beautiful but all bunched together in that amazing yellow - it's just breathtaking.
My insurance (Humana) rewards me with Amazon gift cards (or a bunch of other stuff I can select instead but I'm all about Amazon gift cards) for prophylactic health stuff and fitness. Most of it, I won't do - mammogram, colonoscopy, diet programs, BUT I do get an annual exam - body and eye and I do check in at LA Fitness every day and it does collect data from my Fitbit. I just remembered this morning that I needed to get the eye doctor visit info from My Chart and upload it to the Go 365 website. Done and done - easy peasy. In 2017, I will have gotten $100 in Amazon gift cards from this program. This tickles me.
I've got zero on the calendar all the rest of the week. Nowhere I have to be, nothing I have to do, no one I have to do anything for. Luxury. There's an afternoon ballgame on Wednesday and the rest are at 7 pm. And the extended forecast looks like it's soon going to be cool enough for going outside again. I'm ready for some walks, actually. And, while I so love my air conditioner, I am ready to put it back in its closet.
Today's game plan starts with finishing off the vest I started yesterday. And then I think I might make that cat. The first stab at it was a fail but I think I have the pattern tweaked enough for success. We shall see.
Oh. And. I tried this last night. I found it via an Amazon ad. Yep, they got me. Last night I had it with some spaghetti sauce I had in the freezer. The sauce wasn't the best. I'm not sure if the pasta was mediocre or if it was just uninspired because of the sauce. I do love the concept but I need it to be tasty. My pasta bar is pretty low. I'll try again but I'm not terribly hopeful.
