Still not dead yet

I wonder if my dead woman report is really connected to the guy who called or if that is just a coincidence.  And if it's not connected, WTF?  The cops said that the caller said that he was David Russell and he was visiting 424.  424 is a black guy who's first language is French. He works for Microsoft and travels constantly.  They knocked on his door and no none answered.  His car is not in its slot. I sent him an email last night but the only address I have is his Microsoft address so likely it went right to spam.

I do hope that this is the end of it. I sure don't want to be the Seattle Police Department's favorite crank call. Or, worse -  least favorite crank call.

No more Fargo today.  I'm all caught up and waiting for the last episode.  I wonder what/if they will do with the series after this finale? I have really enjoyed it and now it holds a special place for sure!

Baring unforeseen excitement, I got nothing on tap for today. Brunch on Father's Day can go either way - really crowded or no action.  I'm ok with not finding out which it is this year.  I have eggs from Chef Anita's chickens.  And a still very clean kitchen. I think I'm going to roll my own this morning.

There's a Mariner game this afternoon but they are back on their downward slide again so I may just watch at it or put it up on Game Day and use the TV for entertainment of the happy kind.

---

I got a notice this morning in email that my license tabs were up for renewal. We've had the ability to renew online for several years but this year, they really have it down perfectly. Click, click, click and wait for the snail mail.  Nice. Especially nice that my car does not need emissions check. So I am done.

A few years ago, we had this huge campaign to reduce car license tab  fees to $30. It was huge and mean and the opposition said that if they did that they would have to slash major services. Hue and cry from both sides. And it went on forever. But, it passed. $30. (The year before, mine had been $175.) I think it lasted one year.  Then they started tacking things on. I'm pretty sure today's bill included $.01 for my share of the governor's limo.  $94.75.

Next March it will be time to get my driver's license renewed. This will not be quite as easy, I think...

Assuming I'm still not dead yet.

How would someone even know there was a dead person in an apartment if they were just visiting a neighbor?

Door open - body in all? Head or feet sticking out door into hall? But, the, wouldn't others have noticed? This whole thing is painted with every color of WTF.

I'm guessing it was your webcam stalker. So bizarre that anyone would do that, though!

Minnesota ties the price of tags to the value of the vehicle. Tags for my Honda Civic were over $300! In Texas, I never paid more than $59/year.
