Yesterday was exhausting in ways that I rarely experience any more. I feel like today is a clean slate opportunity to get it right this time.

The pool opens at 8:30 and I plan to be there. And then probably, I'll find breakfast and then the grocery. I need ice cream. My favorite milkshake of all time is a chocolate and banana milkshake. I have chocolate and bananas and, now, a blender so I need ice cream.

And then I'm planning a day of nothing. Hopefully. I have lots of good TV stacked up and bears to knit.

I love chocolate banana milkshakes so much. Drank a lot of them when I was pregnant with my second. I have had an excellent chocolate banana milkshake at Don's in Puyallup. (I also like their onion rings.)
God dammit, now I want one. I need some ice cream...and bananas.

Good to know about Don's! If you ever get near Luna Cafe in West Seattle, they will make a fabulous chocolate banana milkshake for you (and their onion rings are also excellent, come to think of it).

After I bought a half gallon of ice cream today, I realized that a single trip there would have been a lot easier and cheaper calorie wise but... then I still would have had the bananas staring at me...

I spend much of my life in search of milkshakes. Hands down the BEST milkshakes ever are in Port Townsend at Don's Pharmacy. I am slightly biased since I grew up drinking those things. They are massive. The price might look steep but you get two whole milkshakes. It is practically a meal.

The last time I ever saw my Grandma, we had milkshakes, onion rings, and burgers at Kidd Valley. It was a pretty laid back meal. She was picking me up from Summer camp, and then dropping me off at the ferry so my Mom could pick me up, but she thought I looked hungry. Probably the best way to remember someone.

I am going to the store tomorrow to get milkshake supplies.
