I was there and I did 15 minutes on the elliptical machine and then spent the other 15 minutes doing crunches and lat work on the other machines. The gym was quiet. Not a lot going on.
But, I had to get the knitted animals to the Baby Corner before they closed at noon. And, when I got home from the gym, I had an IM from my project manager and we chatted about work and then I had a voice message I had to call back and then I had a shower and in all that... I totally forgot to make a gym entry!!!
The end of the world did not come as best I can tell at least... I hope.

Someone who reads this journal sent me the most beautiful flowers and elegant vase! Nowhere in the package can I find a single clue who it is. So whoever you are...
Thank you so very very much. I did not realize how much I needed to be made special until Scott, the building manager brought up this wonderful - and really large - box. Looking at them now nearly brings tears to my eyes. Seriously. These past few days have been kind of tough and I have not felt particularly good about myself. I look at this beautiful bouquet and it just fills me up. Really.
Thank you does not seem adequate. I'm touched and at the same time about to die of curiosity.

Travis looked but didn't touch and now he's in the chair guarding in case Betty wants to get close.
They are just beautiful. Thank you thank you thank you.

I let Karen, the Incredible Chef, know that I was going to bake some variety into my chefdom. She took it more of a chef firing. I did not mean that at all. She has at least 4 recipes that I absolutely want to have again and by the time she comes back, I'll bet she has more. But, in the meantime, it time for some variety.
Tom, from Tom's In-Home Cooking came by today and we talked turkey and beef and even salads... He's a really comfortable guy to be around and I liked his ideas. He seems to be a bit more flexible and a little more focused on my eating experience. He had a four page list of food items to ask me about... no on carrots, yes on nuts, never on tofu, always on cheese... on and on. It was fun.
I have a freezer full of food now - so he's not coming until August.

It probably will be a few days before I stop talking about this beautiful bouquet of flowers.
letmesaythis made a great observation... The horrors of the internet is all too often the story. Pedophiles and porn and time wasting and life sucking... But, without the internet, I'd never have an online journal. I'd never have met the wonderful people who read my journal and give me such wonderful and critical feedback all the time. And I would have never gotten this beautiful bouquet of flowers today. So thank you internets. You are A1 in my book!
And to the people who still, now and again, chide me for providing my name, address and phone number on my website and other web places, I say that the danger of divulging such information is flowers. Beautiful, fresh, thoughtful, dangerous flowers.
